Quant Stock Manager - more than just a stock screener

Why more than just a stock screener?

With the algorithmic stock manager...

  • you can find stocks that might not have been on your "radar" yet.
  • you get up to eight different signals how to deal with the stock
  • the market phases of a share are displayed transparently via colour codes
  • you can compare your own shares in the share screener
  • you receive concrete recommendations for action for each market phase

Modern algorithms and computer-based models evaluate over 600 top stocks worldwide on a daily basis. All market phases and signals are updated daily. You decide which signals you want to use.

CHART
Color code for market phases

The market phases of a share are shown in the share chart via a four-colour code. This makes it immediately clear which phase a share is in. The chart covers a maximum of the last 500 days.

Some examples:

COLOR CODE

  • Dark greenBullish trend
  • Light greenBullish consolidation
  • OrangeDownward consolidating" ("Bearish consolidation")
  • RedDownward trend ("Bearish Trend")

Investors can immediately recognize which market phase a stock is in. For each market phase there are recommendations on how to deal with it. (to the guide).

SIGNALE
Stock Manager Signals

When the market phase changes, the color changes and there is a SIGNAL. The stock manager shows EIGHT different signals. Four long and four short signals. There are clear recommendations on how to deal with these.

Some examples:

Upside signals ("long signals")

  • STABLIZE (Red -> Orange):
    • Share stabilises -> Add to watchlist or buy first tranche
  • LONG (Orange -> Dark green):
    • Buy signal -> Recommendation: Establish a position
  • STRONG LONG (Red -> Dark green):
    • Strong buy signal -> recommendation: build a position
  • RE-LONG (Light green -> Dark green):
    • Confirmation signal -> Recommendation: Build another tranche, adjust stop. Let the position run further.

  • PULLBACK (Dark green -> Light green):
    • Attention: The share is consolidating in an upward trend. Either the share resumes the trend and changes to dark green or falls further and changes to a downward trend ("bearish trend"). Recommendation: hedge position, sell a tranche, tighten stop, put on sell watchlist.
  • SHORT (Light green -> Red):
    • Sell signal -> recommendation: reduce position
  • STRONG SHORT (Dark green-> Red):
    • Strong sell signal-> Recommendation: reduce one position
  • RE-SHORT (Orange -> Red):
    • Confirmation signal down. The share has not managed to change into the upward trend and is falling back. Recommendation: tighten stop, reduce positions, wait for new signals.

Whenever a "LONG", "STABILIZE", "STRONG LONG" or a "RE-LONG" signal is received, the stop for new or existing positions is set at the low of the previous market phase.

Every share you buy is a bet on rising prices (in addition to the dividend). Professional investors hedge the positions in the portfolio with a stop order. If the share price falls below this, the share is usually sold. The share manager provides you with a recommendation for the stop level for your positions.

Offensive investors already buy or rule a (partial) position at the "Stabilize" signal. This first position is hedged with an initial stop at the level of the low of the previous red phase. If the position continues to perform well, the stock enters the "Up Trend" phase and generates a "LONG" signal. The stop is then adjusted to the low of the Orange market phase. ("Retighten Stop"). See graphic.

Defensive investors buy only when the signal "LONG" or "STRONG LONG" comes. The stop is at the low of the previous market phase ("Orange").
